Mossley Funeral Directors ready to support more local charities as Community Assistance Programme relaunches

The Elizabeth Way & Company Community Assistance Programme was launched last year and is designed to assist projects within three miles of their funeral home in Stamford Street, Mossley.

Ten local projects were given grants in 2024, and now the team are ready to support more groups this year.

Funeral Director Ben McCutcheon said he was thrilled to see the fund coming back.

He said: “We have loved having the Community Assistance Programme opened over the last year and I am thrilled that with the support of our parent company Funeral Partners, we are able to continue it in 2025.

“We have met some incredible people, built-up great links with the community and become more connected with those doing great work in Mossley.

“But, I am certain there must be more projects we haven’t heard from yet.

“If you are running a project or initiative close to our funeral home that needs support, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.”

The fund will be distributed in three cycles this year, with the first open for applications now.

Projects must align with one of more of the four fund categories – Health, Education, Employment Opportunities and Poverty and Social Deprivation.
