We’re pleased to be supporting creative opportunities in Mossley through our Elizabeth Way Community Assistance Programme, which has re-opened for a third and final round of funding.
We’ve awarded £1,000 to Mossley Community Centre to help run its Friday Art Club—a weekly group that brings people of all ages together to learn new skills, build friendships, and experience the joy of creativity. It’s a wonderful way for us to give back to the community and help foster connection through the arts.
Local not-for-profit organisations can now apply to Elizabeth Way & Company Funeral Directors for its final funding round, before its deadline of October 27.
Funeral Director Ben McCutcheon said: “We are really pleased to be able to support Mossley Community Centre with its art club, which is such a positive initiative for local people. Bringing people together and giving them the chance to express themselves makes a real difference to wellbeing.”
He added: “It has been a privilege to meet and learn about so many inspiring local projects during the course of this programme. We are now accepting applications for the third and final round, and I would encourage any charities or groups who think they might be eligible to get in touch.”
The Elizabeth Way Community Assistance Programme has already supported 10 local projects since it launched last year, ranging from bereavement support to activities tackling social isolation.
The final cycle of the fund is open to projects within three miles of the funeral home in Stamford Street, Mossley, with up to £1,000 available.
Grants are available to fund local activities which improve the quality of life of residents and the wider community.
Projects must align with one or more of the fund’s four categories – Health, Education, Employment Opportunities, and Poverty and Social Deprivation. The deadline for applications is October 27 at 12 noon.
